An Urban Referrals electrician had visited our rental unit at NW, Washington DC. We had to request an emergency visit from another electrician out of the phone book to replace some breakers that burnt out. They (the phone book contractor) replaced what needed to be replaced but were pushy with my wife and tried to scare us into doing more work ($3,000) than what was needed. Their network electrcian assessed the situation, found no further work was required and pointed out that if work needed to be done it would be covered under warranty. Urban Referrals did it all -- after mild water damage and an outdated decor, our basement needed a facelift. Urban Referrals to the rescue!! After a short email to UR, I received a response the next day. UR recommended a contractor to strip our entire basement of its wallpaper, repair some drywall, and repaint the entire area. Within a week, the contractor had given me a quote, and two weeks later, the job was complete. The quality of work and professionalism of the contractor was excellent.
